You’ve made the art. Now send the pitch.
Send the Pitch.
Pick one company. Write one pitch. Send it before the workshop ends.
A pitch is a short, friendly email that shows a company your art. Licensing means a company pays to put your art on things it sells, like fabric, cards or mugs. You still own your art.
When: Wednesday, October 21 at 3 PM Central Time
(That's 4 PM Eastern, 2 PM Mountain, 1 PM Pacific.)
How long: About 90 minutes
Where: Online, on Zoom (a free video call app)
Cost: $10, paid once
Bring: 3 to 5 finished pieces of your own art. No website or pitching experience needed.
After you pay, your Zoom link comes by email.

My first licensing check was $12.
That was a company paying me to use art I had already made.
"It felt like the best money I ever made, even though it was like tiny, because it was money that was made from art I already had. I decided to try to start pitching to other companies."
So I did. I sent one email at a time.
Twelve dollars was just the start.
Start small. Just start.
Since that $12 check: my art is on Moda fabric, I wrote a bestselling book, my work is in 1,400+ stores, and I’ve taught 150,000+ artists.
How it works
- Click the button and pay $10.It takes about a minute.
- Check your email for the Zoom link. Can't find it? Look in your spam folder, or email [email protected].
- Show up live with your art.Wednesday, October 21 at 3 PM Central Time. Photos or scans on your computer are perfect.
- Leave with your pitch sent.We write it and send it together, step by step.
You don't need new art. Start with the art you have.
My $12 check came from art I already had. I didn't learn a new skill. I didn't buy new software. I just showed my art to the right company.
- No new software. If you can send an email, you can do this.
- No new art. Bring art you've already made.
- One workshop, about 90 minutes.
- You leave with your pitch sent and a follow-up date on your calendar.
Many artists learn a lot but never show their art to a company. This workshop is about sending.
What we'll do in the workshop
Five steps. You do each one with me, live. (Live means it happens in real time, not a recording.)
Pick your company
I'll show you how I decide if a company fits your art. You'll choose one real company.
Pick your pieces
Choose 3 to 5 pieces that look like what that company already sells.
Write your pitch
A short, friendly email. I'll walk you through every line.
Send it
We click Send together, during the workshop. Rather send it later? That's fine too.
Plan your follow-up
A follow-up is a short, polite check-in email. You'll put a reminder on your calendar for 2 weeks later.

A company can't say yes to art it has never seen.
Many artists think they need a portfolio first. (A portfolio is a collection of your best art, often on a website.) You don't. You need three things:
- One company that fits your art.
- A few pieces you like.
- A short, kind email.
That's a pitch. No phone calls. No website. We will write yours together.

What to bring
- Photos or scans of 3 to 5 finished pieces of your own art, saved on your computer. No AI art.
- A computer (laptop or desktop) with internet, and your email.
- About 90 minutes. A cup of something warm is nice too.
That's it. You don't need a portfolio. You don't need a website. You don't need special software. You don't need to have done this before.
This workshop is for you if...
You make art after work.
You want your art on real products. You don't know where to start.
You have a folder full of art.
You've never shown it to a company. You're not sure it's ready.
You tried once and stopped.
You sent a pitch. You heard nothing back. So you stopped.
This is not for you if you want to get rich quick. Licensing doesn't work that way. I won't pretend it does.
The honest truth: licensing takes time.
One pitch is not a paycheck.
Some companies say yes. Many don't answer. Some say "not right now."
That's normal. It does not mean your art is bad. That's why you plan your follow-up before the workshop ends.
I can't promise you a deal, or any money. I can promise you'll leave with a real pitch sent and a plan for what comes next.

Hi, I'm Stacie.
My earliest drawings were on restaurant napkins. Gingiber is my art brand. My first Gingiber designs were drawn with a Sharpie on manila envelopes.
Over the years, my licensing has earned more than $500,000.
That's my own result, built over a long time. It's not a promise of yours.
And it all started with a $12 check, and a decision to keep pitching.
What artists say about learning licensing from me
These artists learned from me before this workshop existed. The workshop is brand new, so there are no workshop reviews yet.

After the workshop: what comes next
When the workshop ends, you'll have one pitch sent.
Then new questions come up. Who else do I pitch? What do I say next time?
What if a company makes an offer?
At the end of the workshop, I'll tell you about my online course, License Your Art. It's for people who want help with those next steps.
It costs extra. You don't have to buy it.
Here's what's inside:
- A list of 429 companies that license art
- 20 pitch emails you can copy and change
- A contract written by my lawyer, for deals that pay one set fee
- The follow-up plan, step by step
- Lifetime access to the course
- 12 months in our private online group, The Studio
It's totally optional. The $10 workshop stands on its own. You leave with your pitch sent either way.
Send the Pitch
Paid once. No monthly fee.

Questions people ask
Tap a question to see the answer.
What if I've never used Zoom?
That's okay. Zoom is a free app for video calls. You don't need to buy anything, and you don't need a Zoom account to join.
After you pay, you'll get an email with a link. At workshop time, click the link. Your computer may ask to open or install Zoom. Follow the steps on your screen.
Tip: click the link 10 minutes early, so you have time to get set up.
When is it, in my time zone?
Wednesday, October 21 at 3 PM Central Time. That's 4 PM Eastern, 2 PM Mountain and 1 PM Pacific. It lasts about 90 minutes.
What happens after I pay?
You'll get an email with your Zoom link. Keep it. On Wednesday, October 21, click the link a few minutes before 3 PM Central Time.
Can't find the email? Check your spam folder, or email [email protected].
What do I need to bring?
Photos or scans of 3 to 5 finished pieces of your own art, saved on your computer. A computer with internet. Your email. About 90 minutes.
Do I need special software?
No. Just Zoom (free) and the email you already use.
Can I join on my phone or tablet?
A computer is best. During the workshop you'll have Zoom open and your email open at the same time. That's hard on a small phone screen.
My art is on paper. Is that okay?
Yes. Take a clear photo of each piece in good daylight, or scan it. Save the photos on your computer before the workshop.
Is my art good enough?
Please don't wait until it feels "ready." Bring 3 to 5 pieces you like. Companies look for art that fits what they sell. In the workshop, we'll pick a company that matches the art you already have.
Do I need a portfolio?
No. A portfolio is a collection of your best art, often on a website. You don't need one. 3 to 5 finished pieces is enough for one pitch.
I've never done this before. Is this for me?
Yes. This workshop is made for your very first pitch.
What if I don't know which company to pitch?
That's step one. I'll show you how I decide if a company fits, and you'll pick one during the workshop.
Do I have to send my pitch during the workshop?
Most people will. It feels so good. If you'd rather send it later, that's okay too. You'll leave with it ready to go.
What if the company says no, or doesn't answer?
That's normal. It's why we plan a follow-up. Check in after 2 weeks. Check in again 2 weeks later. Then let it rest for 90 days.
Is there a replay?
There is no free replay. A replay is a recording of the workshop you can watch later. When you check out, you can add the replay and my slides for $7. It's optional.
What if I can't make it live?
Add the replay and slides for $7 when you check out. Then follow along when you can, and write and send your pitch.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Come live. If it isn't for you, email us within 24 hours after the workshop for your $10 back. Our email is [email protected].
Is this a trick? Will I be charged more later?
No. You pay $10 once. There's no monthly fee. At checkout you'll see one optional add-on: the replay and slides for $7. Leave it unchecked if you don't want it.
Will you try to sell me something?
Yes, and I'll be upfront about it. At the end of the workshop, I'll tell you about my course, License Your Art, for anyone who wants to keep going. It's optional. Your $10 workshop stands on its own.
Will this make me money?
I can't promise that. Licensing takes time, and one pitch is not a paycheck. You'll leave with a real pitch sent and a plan to follow up.
Why is it only $10?
A small price helps people show up and do the work. I want you to really send that pitch.
Can I use AI art?
No. Bring art you made yourself. No AI art.
It starts with one email.
Pick one company. Write one pitch. Send it together, live.
